Bathtime was usually uneventful

Carved and painted cedar.

About 700mm high.

I used Frida Kahlo’s autobiographical painting “What the water gave me” from 1939 as the starting point for this work. I continued the surrealist theme and included the carnival dancers along the top as a bit of fun. Not for the first time this piece was acquired by a gallery owner.
