Close up view of workshop West wall

On the left a panel of 16th and 17th century Spanish tile fragments. To the right are modern butterfly tiles bought in Khiva. These tiles can be seen there today incorporated into mosques. Their origin is much older going back to 1200 BC. The tiles signify the Zoroastrian morality of “good thoughts, good words, good deeds”.
