This was one of 21 candleholders which I carved for my daughter’s wedding
The title derives from one of the books she is balancing on her head. The others are “A gentle plea for chaos” – a gardening book, “Golden years my ass: adventures in geriatric indignity” and “Italian without words” all actual books. The dress is copied from one of my wife’s catalogues. And the chicken on her shoulder? Who knows?
