If you go into the cemetery in Montmartre there is a little stone tomb where at high level there is an owl with angel wings. To one side a cast metal panel shows a figure in a little paddle steamer with a tall funnel out at sea. On the back there is a panel showing the boat upended and being pushed under the waves by a “devil” with wings. It is clearly showing a disaster at sea but I couldn’t find an inscription. I gave my little boat an angel with a cap.
