A book published in 1914 which as an 11 year old it was possible my father could have read. He worked in telegrams all his life so I created little telegrams by cutting up and rearranging the text along with images from the book. Some examples:

“It was Friday evening, the 13th October,1066 and all busied themselves in putting down the improvised table-cloth and portioning out the tinned salmon.”They are ready to begin ” said the doctor pleasantly” Or

“First terror, then indignation, then grief, then the dull horror of a huge mince pie”

Jumbled numbers and compartments make a game of snakes and ladders which cannot be played
