Dogon granary wardrobe

Collecting things can in itself be a “creative act”. Often I acquire things by “feel”, having no real idea what to do with them. In this case it was a full size carved door from central Mali. What started in my head as a “mud built” Dogon granary store evolved into my wardrobe. I photographed it as close as I could get to the desert of Mali – my beach.
